I am so conflicted. I love and support this country, and have previously sworn an oath to the Constitution of the U.S. I was never asked to swear an oath to whomever the president was. I, like some, was not so fond of some, but nevertheless, my oath was to the Constitution.
I absolutely tremble at where we are now. A majority of Republican voters support “The Donald.” His base seems solid, they support a deranged, orange vindictive a**h*** who wants nothing more than to federally convict anyone who dares to even question him. Narcissism to the utmost degree.
One of his recent targets is a retired, distinguished Navy Captain who chose to re-state a pledge all uniformed folks make. It was a reminder. Captain Kelly may have bone spurs, but he never allowed that to disqualify him from national service.
This honcho in the White House absolutely does not respect our military, nor anyone who does not agree with him. His efforts to have DOJ go after them for even saying anything contrary to his beliefs goes beyond reasoning.
I lived that life for nearly 26 years. I am not sure I could ever respect an order given by this clown. Jail would be better.
