Concord, NH – Donald Alfred Dumont, 85, of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2026. Don was a devoted husband whose life was defined by service, integrity and compassion. He was born 10/15/1940, in Rochester, NH.
Donald graduated from Catholic University with dual Masters degrees in History. He later received his law degree from the University of Hawaii. He served as an administrative judge for the Department of Labor in Hawaii. He was dedicated to service, serving with the Peace Corps in Micronesia, and then became a VISTA volunteer in Hawaii working with community groups.
Donald had a love of running and completed several marathons in Hawaii.
He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of more than 50 years, Dorothy Dumont, who will miss him deeply; his brother, Leo (Barbara) Dumont of Pembroke, NH; his sister-in-law, Ginger Dumont of Waynesboro, VA, his sister and brother-in-law and several loving and devoted nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred Joseph Dumont and Annette Irene (Tanguay) Dumont; his brothers David Dumont and Norman Dumont; and his sister-in-law, Carole Dumont.
A wake will be held at Bennett’s Funeral Home, Church Street, Concord, NH on Friday, May 8th from 5-7pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Loudon Road, Concord, NH on Saturday, May 9th at 12:30pm, followed by a Mercy Meal at IHM. Casual dress is requested.
