Boscawen, NH – Rose Marie (Flamand) Bailey passed away June 2, 2026 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. Rose was born August 5, 1930 in Penacook to Arthur and Valerie (Miner) Flaming.
Rose attended Immaculate Conception School in Penacook. She graduated from Penacook High School Class of ’49. She was captain of the basketball team.
On June 10, 1950 she married William (Bunk) Bailey Jr. They were married 69 years until Bunk’s passing in 2019. They built their home and raised their family in Boscawen. Along with being an amazing mother to her four children she also took care of the bookkeeping for Bailey & Sons Logging. Rose was a member of the Boscawen Fire Department Auxiliary for many years.
Rose is predeceased by her loving husband; her parents; sisters Eleanor Frost, Gloria Hopps and Elaine Martin; her son David; grandsons Jeremy Harrington and Benjamin Bailey; granddaughter Angela.
Rose leaves behind her son William Bailey III (Jeanne); daughters Sandra Bailey and Pamela Harrington (John); and daughter-in-law Kathy Bailey.
She also leaves behind grandchildren Jeni Laliberte (Tom); William Bailey IV (Angie); Justin Cheney; Christopher Harrington; Ryan Bailey; Shane and Cheyenne Kulacz; Jason; Rebecca; Heather and Zachary Sanborn.
Great grandchildren Taylor, Sydney, Lauren, Aiden, Shea, Bode, Cole, Emerson, Jennah, Blake, James, Micah, Hannah & Raylynn, along with many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Betty Pearson, Beverly Patenaude and Sue Bailey.
Graveside service will be Thursday, June 11, 2026, Pine Grove Cemetery in Boscawen at 10:00am.
