A car chase from Concord to Loudon ended in the arrest of a Pittsfield man in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Nathaniel Bergeron, 29, was at the wheel of a black 2014 Jeep Cherokee when Concord Police attempted to pull him over, according to police.
At 12:53 a.m., officers requested the help of New Hampshire State Police, and troopers attempted to stop Bergeron a second time on Route 4. Again, he refused to stop and proceeded westbound onto Loudon Road, according to police.
Concord officers pursued the Jeep Cherokee and eventually deflated its front left tire on Route 106. Bergeron drove north into Loudon with the deflated tire but was eventually apprehended on Route 129, according to police. No one was injured in the pursuit.
Bergeron was arrested on three felony counts and five misdemeanor counts. He had several active warrants for his arrest.
He faces felony charges of operating a vehicle after certification as a habitual offender, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and falsifying physical evidence. His misdemeanor charges include disobeying a police officer, aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving without giving proof, circumventing an alcohol ignition interlock device and operating a vehicle after suspension.
Concord and Loudon Police Departments aided New Hampshire State Police in their investigation.
Bergeron was held at the Merrimack County jail following his arrest and was scheduled to be arraigned in Concord District Court on July 9.
