No show candidate Senator Dan Innis
What does it mean when a candidate for the New Hampshire State Senate is invited to a candidate’s forum put on by the NH League of Women Voters and doesn’t show? Mr. Innis is such a candidate.
The League emailed him, phoned him and wrote an invitational letter to him to join the forum in Warner which was held on Oct. 20 and Mr. Innis did not have the decency to even reply to any such communication from the League. And then while all the other candidates showed up for the forum, Mr. Innis was nowhere to be found.
Mr. Innis, who moved from Portsmouth to rural Bradford with his husband because he could not get elected for political office in the Seacoast area when he ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District and lost, has done a tremendous disservice to the people of Senate District 7, comprised of 22 towns, by failing to show and answer questions from his constituents.
What is he afraid of? If he can’t take a few questions from the people whose vote he is asking for, why should they give him the luxury of their vote? And to never even reply to the League is inconsiderate and condescending. He does not deserve to be elected as our Representative.
