The New Hampshire Democratic Party claimed victories in the Executive Council, state Senate and state House on Tuesday night.
The Associated Press had not called many of those races as of Wednesday morning.
“This is a tremendous victory for Democrats across New Hampshire and a clear rejection of the chaos and dysfunction that have defined Republican leadership in Concord,” Ray Buckley, the party’s chairman, said in a statement. “Granite Staters are ready for a different kind of leadership.”
All three bodies were controlled by Republicans.
New Hampshire echoed a Democratic wave across the country, with the party taking back control of both the House and Senate on a federal level.
State Republicans had one consolation: A number of school districts in the region agreed to impose a tax cap on school spending that the GOP had supported.
Details will be available in later editions.
