The city of Concord has called a winter maintenance parking ban for Friday morning.
The ban means any car parked on certain streets around the city’s downtown will be towed if they are on the street from midnight through 7 a.m. Friday morning.
Parking is free in the city’s garages from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, regardless of weather.
Concord received 6.5 inches Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service out of Gray, Maine. This is the 10th parking ban the city has called this winter season, according to the city’s social media; typically, a winter storm event parking ban is followed by a winter maintenance ban to clear snow from the downtown area.
