Students of Eastern Ballet Institute will present a family-friendly, socially distanced Victorian-style Christmas event at Kimball Jenkins on Sunday. Don’t forget to enter the raffle to win Clara’s stunning crown or a Lego Nutcracker!
Raffle proceeds to benefit David’s House on the campus of the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth and all ticket proceeds benefit EBI’s new dance flooring and mirrors fund for the carriage house at Kimball Jenkins.

The Concord Christmas tree and nativity creche, to be located at City Plaza, will be blessed by the Rev. Richard Roberge at 9 a.m. on Nov. 27.
The Knights of Columbus Council 112 and the Concord Grange have been setting up the creche at the State House for more than 40 years. Last year, the crèche trailer, which was in need of repair, broke when we removed from the State House grounds. The Knights spearheaded an effort to build a new trailer that would last for years to come. With the dedicated effort of Bob Nadeau and Deacon Bill Lavallee, we were able to secure a donated trailer and supplies to rebuild the crèche. The groups are still looking for donations to cover the balance of the repairs. Please make donations payable to Knights of Columbus Council 112, c/o IHM 180 Loudon Road, Concord NH 03301.
Thanksgiving Day, the Tsihlis family once will again be preparing dinners for individuals and families and for fire fighters, police officers, and hospital staff working on the holiday. Last year, with the help of our community, 120 meals were delivered. Donated turkeys and pies are part of this effort.
This week, turkeys (16 pounds or so), either frozen or fresh, can be dropped off at Dimitri’s delivery window or the inside counter. Homemade or purchased pies can be brought to the restaurant Monday or Tuesday. The family would like keep track of the number of donations and those who helped. When you drop off your donation, please give your name to the staff at the window or counter.
If you have any questions, or would like to request a Thanksgiving meal, please call Mary at 568-2783.
