Laurie Goldberg

Henniker, NH – Laurie Goldberg of Henniker passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2026.

Laurie was, in the words of one friend, “sunshine in human form.” Caring, loving, and selfless, she made friends wherever she went and faithfully kept in touch with family and friends across the country. One of her favorite sayings, passed down by her mother, was “The road to a friend’s house is never long,” a reflection of the way she lived and the joy she found in staying close to family and friends.

Born in Boston and raised in Brookline, Laurie met Joel at Northeastern University. They were married for 53 years and made Henniker their home for 43 years, where they raised their sons, Greg and Jeff.

Laurie spent 38 years as an educator at Henniker Community School. For generations of students and families, she was a joyful, caring constant who never hesitated to help. Her kindness extended to colleagues, many of whom became close friends, making her an essential part of the school community.

In keeping with the generosity that defined her life, Laurie gave the gift of organ donation, saving three lives.

She is survived by Joel; sons Greg of Henniker and Jeff of Los Angeles; sister Joni Saloman; brothers-in-law Mark and Carl Goldberg; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Susan and Ronald Trushin.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Temple Beth Jacob in Concord. Details and RSVP: lauriegoldberg.rsvpify.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the GoFundMe established by friends in her memory.
