■The Walker Lecture Series invites you to join “Two NH Revolutionaries: John Stark and Henry Dearborn” with George Morrison on Zoom on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Our license plates proclaim, “Live Free Or Die,” but when a man lives more than 90 years, his life deserves more than four words. Redeemed captive and captain in Rogers’ Rangers, John Stark distinguished himself in the early battles at Bunker Hill, Trenton and Bennington, where his leadership proved critical to the success of the cause. In April 1775, when Captain Henry Dearborn marched his Nottingham company to join with other N.H. troops besieging Boston, never could he have imagined that their first fight would lead to bitter political controversy some 40 years in the future. This presentation is free. Everyone on the Walker Lecture email list will get a Zoom invitation before the event. Visit walkerlecture.org to sign up.
