■Morning and evening yoga classes are beginning at The Andover Community Hub; beginners, as well as those with experience, are welcome. ■ “Mobility on the Go” at The Andover Community Hub offers a small inventory of wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, bath seats, etc. ready to be loaned out to residents who may be recovering from injuries, surgeries or hospitalizations and have a temporary need for such items. ■The Senior Health Clinic will be held at The Andover Community Hub on Tuesday, September 14, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. The clinic is provided by the Granite Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) and staffed by a VNA nurse for foot care, blood pressure screening, B-12 injections, or medication and nutritional information. BOSCAWEN Trail volunteers needed

Volunteers are invited to help on the Trails Workday at the Boscawen Town Forest on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Boscawen Conservation Commission is hosting the event that includes clipping and clearing brush and light raking. Please meet at the new trail parking lot (across from Marshall’s Firearms) at 9 am. There will be a brief safety meeting at 9:20 am and work begins at 9:30. The goal is to prepare the trails for public recreational use. Volunteers are asked to bring water, snack, bug spray, hat, sunblock, loppers or rock rake and wear work shoes. ■Equine Equestrian Center, in collaboration with Merrimack County Human Services, is pleased to announce a limited number of openings for “Fun at the Farm” at ECMC in Boscawen. It is a complimentary, seven-week program for youth, ages 8 to 13, at the farm located at 333 Daniel Webster Highway. Sessions are held every Wednesday from September 15th through October 27th from 3 to 4 p.m. This hands-on program offers participants the opportunity to learn about horses and ponies in a safe and welcoming environment. “Music in the Park” returns on Saturday with “Badger’s Drifting” featuring duo Scott Miles and Johnny Law taking the stage at 4 p.m. Both are songwriters, singers and guitarists who play original repertoire of Americana and Alt-Country songs. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Food goes on sale at 4 p.m and available for the entire event. Starting in October, the music event returns to the First Friday of the month at 7 p.m.

■The Book Discussion Group at the Boscawen Public Library is meeting on Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. Additional copies of “The Midnight Library” a novel by Matt Haig are available at the library.

■In honor of Labor Day, Sept. 6, the Boscawen Municipal Offices, Public Library and Merrimack Valley Schools will be closed tomorrow.

■The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed Monday and Thursday. The office will be open for business on Tuesday from 12 to 7 p.m.

■Mobile Vaccine Clinic coming to Canterbury Farmers Market! Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 4 to 6 p.m. The Mobile Vaccine Clinic, an initiative created by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and ConvenientMD, will be coming to our market on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 4 pm – 6 pm. All three vaccines, Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J, are available for first and second shots. No booster vaccines are available at this time. It is not required to sign up ahead of time for this clinic. All vaccines are free; health insurance is not necessary. Anyone 12 and older can get vaccinated. Children under 18 will need parental consent and proof of age. You do not need to be a Canterbury or NH resident or even a US citizen. The mobile clinic is welcome to everyone. The mobile clinic will be there to answer any questions you may have. This is for the health of our community and all. It takes a community to care for the well-being and safety of others.

SALISBURY Flag football, fireworks celebrate new bleachers

■The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed for the Observance of Labor Day on Monday.

■The Budget Committee will meet at Academy Hall on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.

■The Salisbury Free Library Trustees meet at the Library for their meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. Masks are strongly recommended.

■On Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Ball Field there will be a flag football game, all are welcome to play. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new bleachers and playground with the annual fireworks to follow at dusk. Hope to see you there!

The Salisbury Haunted Woods is a 501c3 charity supporting local education and community organizations. ■Summer weekly cribbage every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., please arrive by 6:15 p.m. at the town hall. All are welcome no matter what town you are from, ages 13 and up are welcome. Summer cribbage will be every Thursday, unless the temperature at 3 p.m. is 90 degrees or higher, in which case the games that night will be canceled. No refreshments will be offered or solicited. ■The Friends of Forgotten Children food pantry serves 23 towns in Merrimack County, and Salisbury is one of them. They are open on Thursdays, 9 to 11:15 a.m. (closed for lunch 11:15 a.m. to noon), and noon to 7 p.m. A household can come once a month for food. First time clients should bring proof of residency for each member of the household. During COVID, we are not verifying income eligibility. Clients can’t come into the building, so once you arrive at the location, call (603) 753-4801 and someone will take your information and the food will be brought outside. They also have a clothing pantry and on good weather days, they will put the clothing outside for anyone to take. ■The town clerk is now open to the public for indoor in-person service. Masks are recommended for all those not fully vaccinated and please continue to observe social distancing. Be sure to bring your driver’s license, the clerk is required to see it for all motor vehicle transactions. Vehicle and dog renewals may still be completed online. Vehicle renewal registration information was mailed to those who need to renew in September, please follow the directions in the letter enclosed and the town clerk will mail your new stickers and registration to you. This only covers vehicles previously registered in Salisbury, not new vehicles or vehicles of new residents. See the town’s website under the department of the town clerk for that information.

■The library is now open to the public. Please see their website for updated information. Open hours are as follows: Mondays (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Tuesday and Thrusdays (1 to 7 p.m.), and Saturday (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Printing, scanning and faxing services are still available. For Heritage Quest, please contact the library for login info. New Hampshire State Park passes are in. Pickup and delivery may not be available during story time or trustee meetings due to staffing. WEBSTER Visit church at fair

■Town offices will be closed on Monday for Labor Day.

■Be sure to visit the Webster Congregational Church booth at the Hopkinton Fair. This a chance to support the church and have some excellent food made by our own local cooks. The booth will be open all the days of the fair. It’s easy to order, and there is seating inside and outside the booth.

■The Planning Board will be holding a public hearing on Sept.16, at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this hearing is to present and receive public comment on the Wetlands and Watershed Protection Ordinance. The meeting will be held at Town Hall in the Grange Hall. The proposed ordinance can be viewed online at webster-nh.gov. A physical copy of the ordinance has also been made available for viewing in the Town Clerk’s Office.
