The Franklin School District has taken on its largest musical arts integration project yet. In its seventh year, Mary Poppins will fly on to the stage of the Franklin Opera House.

More than 100 children in kindergarten through high school will perform the Broadway musical based on the novels by P.L. Travers. Students study literary, historical, scientific, math or creative elements from the show to do projects, which will be on display at the theater so the public can see how the arts can integrate into all subjects.

Shows will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week and May 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. and on May 12 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $16 adults, $14 students and seniors and are available at franklinoperahouse.org or the door.
