The events in Washington on Wednesday made me think of quotes from two different people from different times: Will Rogers, famed American cowboy, humorist, and columnist from almost a hundred years ago, and Lindsey Graham, recently re-elected senator from South Carolina.
Rogers said, โThere are men running the government who shouldnโt be allowed to play with matches.โ
Graham said at the 2016 Washington Post Club annual congressional dinner, โIf you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, nobody would convict you.โ
Until lasts Wednesday one had to assume Graham was referring to another senator doing the deed.
