An unrestrained driver died after being ejected from his vehicle during a crash Monday in Danbury, State Police said.
State Police, Danbury and Bristol police, and Danbury Fire and Rescue responded to a call about 3 p.m. The vehicle appeared to be driving north along on Eastern District Road when it veered right and off the road, then re-entered the road, and later crashed into a guardrail and some trees, police said in a release.
The driver, Kevin Ramsey, 43, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was declared dead at the scene by Danbury Fire and Rescue.
A passenger, Sarah Westland, 36, who was restrained, was transported to Franklin Hospital with possible minor injuries.
