Highlights: The Sabres scored with seven minutes to go in the match off a free kick near the corner. Souhegan sent the ball into the six-yard box and eventually landed at the feet of a Sabre who found the back of the net, ending the Pride’s tournament run in the first round.

Coach’s quote: “Type of game that one goal would win it. It was a back-and-forth first half with both teams generating good chances. In the second half, I thought we played the best half of the season. We controlled play, won the second ball, created chances and a played great half overall. This game was the story of our season, we just couldn’t find the back of net when we needed to. It was an absolute pleasure to coach this senior class, who left it all out on the field today. Good luck to Souhegan.” – MV’s Nick D’Agostino

Records: Souhegan 11-5-1; MV 9-8-0
