Bow 1, Merrimack Valley 1

Key players: Bow – Lyndsey LaPerle (goal), Kristina Pizza (assist), Madison Roberge (assist), Kelly Harris, Sidney Roberge, Bella LaPerle, Juliette Tarsa; MV – Kristen Therrien (goal), Mackenzie McDonald (goalie)

Highlights: Bow took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute after some nice combination play from Pizzi and Roberge led to Lyndsey Laperle’s goal. MV’s McDonald made a great save late in the first half to keep it 1-0 at halftime, and the Pride tied things up with eight minutes left in regulation when Therrien scored off a loose ball in the box.

Coaches’ quotes: “We played well today and did a better job possessing the ball against a well-coached, organized and hard-working Merrimack Valley team. We created a lot of good chances today but couldn’t quite finish the job. When you don’t finish those chances and let a team hang around, things sometimes happed. Positive thing is we continue to improve.” – Bow’s Jay Vogt

“It took us a bit to adjust to Bow’s strong attack. Eventually we settled in and started to possess and generate some quality chances. We switched it up in the second half and applied a lot of pressure, which eventually led to the loose-ball goal. Well-played game by both teams.” – MV’s Nick D’Agostino

Records: Bow 5-0-2; MV 3-3-2
