Key players: John Stark – Destiny Vickers (grand slam), Kira Linstad (grand slam), Ava Rivers (3-for-4, 3 runs), Olivia Hargreaves (5 IP, 8 K, 1 BB, 2 H)

Highlights: Vickers hit a grand slam in the first inning and Linstad had another in the second inning to put the Generals up early. Hargreaves pitched a complete game in the circle, helping John Stark close out the game in five innings.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Bishop Guertin 19, Concord 5

Key players: Concord  – Joey Tarbell (2 goals), Colin Nelson (goal), Dan O’Brien (goal, assist), Nate Doherty (goal, assist), Brody McGonigle (assist), Kevin Jones (assist)

Highlights: The Tide trailed 7-2 after the first quarter and 12-5 at halftime. The defending champion Cardinals pulled away in the second half.

Lebanon 12, Hillsboro-Deering 6

Key players: H-D – Paulo Vazquez (4 goals, 2 assists), Jared O’Connor (18 saves), Jacob Davies (goal), Ryan McCrumb (goal), Manny Velazquez (assist)

Highlights: The Hillcats trailed 6-1 at halftime, but battled back to cut Lebanon’s lead to 7-6 at the end of the third quarter before running out of gas.

Highlights: The Hawks led by three at halftime and extended their lead in the second half, despite Velie dominating the game with her ability to get by the defense.
