Boys’ Basketball

Pembroke 70, Bow 66

Key players: Pembroke  – Mike Strazzeri (21 points, 4 steals), Joshua Pilotte (19 points, 4 steals), Joe Fitzgerald (18 points, 7 rebounds), Shondell Hadley (6 points, 10 rebounds), Adam Heldman (5 offensive rebounds); Bow  – Jake Reardon (26 points, 14 rebounds), Mark Folsom (13 points, 9 rebounds), Colby Smith (13 points), Caleb Gazaway (defense, rebounding)

Coaches’ quotes:  “This was a really competitive game start to finish. Bow coach Scott Drapeau had his boys ready for battle and gave us everything they had. I have been doing this a long time and I’m telling you freshman Jake Reardon is the real deal and has to be one of the best freshmen in our state. The kid is a stud. I was very happy with our effort and intensity at both ends. Strazzeri had another great game with 21 points and Joe Fitzgerald (18) and Joshua Pilotte (19) were solid throughout. I also want to give Adam Heldman a huge pat on the back. He had five offensive rebounds and played his best game ever. Back to work tomorrow to prepare for a game on Friday at Pelham.” – Pembroke’s Michael Donnell

“As mentioned before, you have to play a complete game and rebound. Down 17 in third quarter, we started to slow the game down and played the mismatch game. Comes down to one possession at a time and good things will follow. Proud of the fight the boys played to the end. A lot of games left to prove ourselves.” – Bow’s Scott Drapeau

Records: Pembroke  4-0; Bow 1-3
