Serving the town in Bow, in any office, is always a very tough job. Sometimes thankless and often very time consuming, as I served two terms on the budget committee. As Abraham Lincoln once said, “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.” There has been too much discord about our select board, who I feel are honestly doing their best for our town. In particular, I am speaking about Bruce Marshall, who seeks re-election.

He has lived in Bow for over 30 years and his children have attended our schools. He has volunteered as a coach for various sports in Bow, which can be as tough of a job as being a selectman. Bruce also has a long history of volunteering in our town, including as a member of our planning board. There are issues that have caused divisiveness in our town, but they are all resolvable. I distinctly remember how many neighbors were initially upset with the location of our public safety building, which was resolved, and we now have one of the best facilities. Bruce is dedicated to maintaining focus on improved access to our town’s government and re-energizing the neighborly qualities that are at the core of Bow, in my opinion. Please elect Bruce Marshall to our select board for a second term.
