Girls’ individual state championship

Key players: Dover – Carys Fennessy (1st, 4-under 67); Winnacunnet – June Doerr (2nd, even par 71); Oyster River – Delaney Nadeau and Teagan Nadeau (tied 3rd, 3-over 74); Bishop Brady – Mady Savary (tied 5th, 8-over 79); Bishop Guertin – Maria Tribou (tied 5th, 8-over 79)

Highlights:  Bishop Brady’s Savary was the only area golfer to compete in the championship flight of the girls’ individual state championship that was held Saturday at Campbell’s Scottish Highlands in Salem. The top six finishers made the cut to compete in another round of 18 holes at Beaver Meadow on Oct. 14 to determine the state champion.
