Boys’ Soccer

Hollis-Brookline 2, Coe-Brown 0

Highlights: The Bears dropped their third game in their last four outings.

Coach’s quote: “This is a game where the score doesn’t tell the whole story. Hollis is a great team. They are well-organized and connect passes, often switching through the back and probing until they find a channel. That being said, we adapted very well to their system, able to hold off pressure and limit their options. While we weren’t as clean with our passes as we’d like to be, the heart our boys showed tonight wasn’t something we’d really seen yet this year. They won a large majority of 50/50 balls and the work rate was admirable. If they bring that mentality, and we can work to be consistent with our shape and continue to clean up our passes, I’m really excited to see what our best soccer looks like. This was a step in the right direction.” – Coe-Brown’s Christian Gompert

Records: Hollis-Brookline 9-3; Coe-Brown 7-5
