Letter: Return to civility in Bow

Published: 03-04-2024 3:28 PM

Bow voters have the opportunity to restore civility and common sense to the Board of Selectmen on March 12. Ian Flanagan and Kip McDaniel are exactly what we need to end the angry tirades and visceral misogyny that have come to dominate meetings of that board, and sadly define our town. Both are successful business men with a keen understanding of how to balance a budget and plan for the future. They are thoughtful, respectful of all points of view, and are dedicated to donating their expertise to move Bow forward.

At the same time, Ben Davis is the better choice for School Board. Ben is “a numbers guy” committed to separating needs from wants and building a long-term plan to avoid tax spikes. I encourage all Bow voters to support these three outstanding candidates on March 12. Voting at the community building will occur from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
