Letter: Our masters, our choices

I am a fiercely independent minded individual. Unfortunately, in our world today where mass killings of fellow human beings go under-reported, or as in the case of Ethiopia, not deemed newsworthy, I tend to find my primal scream all too often. I’m exhausted. I’m human, I care. Our government is not now for the people or by the people. Our government is purchased by the wealthy elites and their corporate donors who taint the headline news stories for us. Their choices are usually sprinkled with untruths.

Today our government is composed of two corporations battling to be masters of we the people. The Democratic Party has an edge in numbers but not in power. They are corporate puppets. The Republican corporation is now fascist, but very well-branded. We the people have a difficult road ahead. Virtually all of Congress has been mute on the Gaza slaughters. Both corporations are yelling at each other and holding on to their shamelessness. Our government is broken. I can hardly wait until November when I have a clear choice to choose between two corporations to lead my country.
