Letter: The chosen

It seems to me that Israel’s Netanyahu thinks he is a warrior fulfilling messianic prophecy; a warrior with a mandate to slaughter Palestinians. The United States is complicit in this ethnic slaughter. Indeed, some Americans, spurred by religious delusions of a biblical and Christian America, see Israel’s actions as a model for their own behavior here in the States if given the chance. The very mistaken belief that the United States has a supernatural covenant with a biblical god has fried the brains of too many Americans.

We, the United States, must stop giving Israel money and armaments. When push comes to shove, Netanyahu acts as if Israel doesn’t need America. At this point, in my opinion, only zombies on auto-pilot could have sympathy for the murderous Israelite campaign in the Palestinian lands of Gaza and the West Bank. It is time for Americans to realize that, actually, the United States does not need Israel or the false prophecies of a ‘chosen’ people with a license to kill.
