When I met Emmett Soldati five years ago it was an instant connection. He just had something that I wanted so badly, his personality was vibrant and his heart was so pure that I couldn’t help but be attracted to his presence and light. Only problem was me, I wasn’t ready to really receive because I was never comfortable in my skin and hadn’t learned how to love myself truly which disabled my ability to love another person and I hadn’t figured out how to be a friend quite yet. Fast forward to today and this moment right here is but one example of many between him and I that foster my recovery process because I show up for those who loved me when I didn’t love myself because they taught me what it meant to be a friend and how important it is to unconditionally support each other. He made me so proud, listening to his kickoff speech.

It began with him speaking about how important community and connection is. I thought to myself “holy, how blessed I am to know him, wow that’s my friend and he’s amazing!” Campaign kick-off: Emmett Soldati for governor’s Executive Council. “Making connections in our community is how we will thrive as a unit and that’s what Emmett knows which is why I believe in his vision for NH.”
