Letter: What good is legalization?

I am writing to challenge the members of the New Hampshire Legislature to provide a logical statement as to how “legalizing” dope (oops, marijuana) sales will add a strong and sustaining thread to the fabric of the state of New Hampshire?

There is already a compromise that allows possession and use. The police organizations are opposed. There are many studies that show the negative effects of usage. I hope that they do ask themselves this important question before their final vote. We deserve an answer.
