Letter: New City, New Name?

Of the 234 incorporated cities and towns in New Hampshire, Concord ranks 156th in household income (U.S. Census Bureau, 2022). It appears that the Concord School Board and City Council are either unaware of that fact or don’t care about it.

With extravagant spending totaling over $350 million on multiple high-ticket projects all at once (middle school, police station, Memorial Field, golf clubhouse) and a green light for casinos, it appears that they’re aiming to transform the capital city. I suggest a new name for this new city, Las Newfields, in honor of America’s gambling capital and New Hampshire’s wealthiest town.
