Letter: We need a real debate

I am deeply concerned about the lack of media coverage for presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Despite being on the ballot in 42 states and set to qualify in all 50 states and D.C. by Sept. 6, he is being ignored by major media outlets. This level of censorship is alarming, especially considering that many voters identify as independent. For our democracy to function properly, voters must make informed decisions on election day. Debates are essential for this process. Kennedy’s exclusion from the Biden-Trump debates clearly demonstrates the establishment’s fear of debating him. However, millions also watched as Kennedy answered all the questions with the same time limits as the other candidates simulcast with the Biden/Trump debate.

While they discussed their golf game, Kennedy provided substantive answers. His presidency promises to include Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Green Party members, and people from all walks of life and political spectrums. This inclusivity is what America needs. I urge readers to spend a few minutes watching “Who Is Bobby Kennedy” narrated by Woody Harrelson on YouTube to understand more about his candidacy. For representative self-government to mean anything, we must have a red, white, and blue debate that shows people we have a choice. We cannot let media censorship prevail. Let’s ensure every candidate gets a fair chance to be heard. If you vote your fear we lose.
