Letter: Walz lied about his time in the military

I am an eighty-year -old veteran. I attended the Naval Academy Prep School. I am very proud of my time in the military and I do not lie. I did not attend the US Naval Academy. Here are three examples of very powerful people that lied about their time in the military. They are Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Tim Walz. Tim Walz (D) is the governor of Minnesota and is running for vice president.Call their lies ‘stolen valor,’ I call them lies. Walz has lied about his time in the military, whether he carried a weapon of war, and that he retired with the rank of Command Sargent Major. He even gave ‘challenge coins’ to other veterans that indicated he was a Command Sargent Major.

Many Democrats say that Tim Walz, like John Kerry and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, misspoke. Last night, I spoke to an eighty-year-old Vietnam veteran. He told me when he was in Vietnam and he did not lie. Trump polls over Harris with veterans. Harris is proud of being the last person in the room with President Biden on the withdrawal from Afghanistan. A withdrawal that cost the lives of 13 veterans and gave the Taliban military equipment worth billions. Why do powerful people like John Kerry, Sen. Blumenthal and Governor Tim Walz lie about their time in the military?
