Letter: Police endorsement

I’ve just seen the announcement that the Fraternal Order of Police has endorsed Donald Trump for president. They claim to stand for law and order. I used to believe that was true. Luckily, all of my contact with their members have been professional and courteous.

Endorsing a convicted felon for the office charged with enforcing our laws is mind boggling. Their press release indicates that not endorsing any candidate has happened in the past. This endorsement indicates that they are neither for unbiased enforcement (law) nor acceptance of the judicial process (order). Really?
