Letter: Support Scroggins, Winters and Sadowski for school board

I have talked to three school board candidates who have impressed me with their thoughtfulness and support for giving the public a true voice in public school matters in Concord. They are Joe Scroggins, Andrew Winters and Sarah Sadowski. All three have children in the public schools here. Scroggins and Winters, who live in the South End, believe the school board’s decisions about the location of the new middle school should be held to a public vote, and openly support the two charter amendments on the ballot to that end.

Sadowski, who lives on the East Side, is not taking a public position on the ballot initiatives. She supports reconsidering the board’s decision not to build at the current Rundlett site. I hope you will take a look at their positions online, reach out to them in person and ask them the tough questions, and, if satisfied, cast your votes for Scroggins, Winters and Sadowski to bring accountability for school board decisions to the public.
