Letter: Biden-Harris, stop sending military aid to Israel

I keep repeating to myself that the cruelty of the Israeli government and its military has no end. They are acting as uncivilized human beings, apparently indifferent, even callous in not responding to the killing of over 10,000 + Gazan children with perhaps a thousand more buried under the rubble. We are told that over 1,000+ children have suffered the loss of one or more limbs from Israeli and U.S. bombs, missiles, and tank shells. This is barbaric and yet my government continues to send more arms and munitions to Israel to enable them to kill and maim even more children. This is unforgivable.

We also know that some Israeli soldiers, men and women, have posted vidoes on TikTok and YouTube mocking “Arabs” and laughing, singing and celebrating the deaths they have caused. Some of the few remaining doctors and nurses in Gaza have recently testified they have seen children as young as 3 and 5, and up to 12, who were shot in the head by Israeli snipers. Is this what Netanyahu has called “the most humane and moral military in the world?” The time has come for the Biden-Harris administration to prohibit any more weapons shipments to Israel as the entire world knows that the U.S. is complicit in “aiding and abetting” Israeli war crimes. As a Veteran for Peace and as a human being, I grieve for my country and for the children of Gaza.
