Concord Keep your family fit

The Children’s Place will host a family fitness class beginning Wednesday at 3 p.m. The 10-week class will be led by Heather Cunningham of Pembroke Fitworks. Class size is limited to 10 families. HoldernessLakeside art class

Squam art retreats are open for enrollment, a spring session June 1 to 5 and a fall session Sept. 14 to 18. Both sessions take place at the Rockywold-Deephaven Camps on the shores of Squam Lake in Holderness. Teachers include Gudrun Johnston, Hélène Dujardin, Kristine Vejar, Mary Jane Mucklestone, Natalie Miller, Maryanne Moodie, Scandinavian duo Arne and more. Henniker Summer Institute for educators

New England College will present its annual Summer Institute for Educators on June 23, 24, 27 and 28. The institute is an opportunity for educators and pre-service teachers to further their knowledge and share their experiences and insights with colleagues. This year’s course offerings include Developing Grit through Growth Mindset Education, Teaching Experientially: Using Intentional Instruction to Create Motivation in the Classroom; Strategic Thinking, Planning and Action to Meet ESSA Requirements; ENGAGE Students in Science; and The Empowerment Classroom: How Student Voice and Partnership Can Improve Engagement, School Attachment and Learning.
