Several scholarships are available to defray the cost of attending New Hampshire’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman fall weekend workshop in September. To be considered for financial assistance, interested women must mail a completed scholarship application along with a written statement and $35 application deposit. Among the scholarships being offered this year is a mother-daughter scholarship: both must apply; the daughter must be 18 or older. If you do not receive a scholarship, the $35 application fee will be returned or may be applied to the registration fee for the fall weekend. The fall BOW weekend costs $335, which includes lodging, meals, equipment and instruction. To apply, visit nhbow.com. For information, visit wildnh.gov.

Deadline to apply: May 2.
