From Monitor staff reports
Bow’s Dominique Biron stole the individual show as she finished first in four events, and the Belmont boys took first as a team on their home track on Tuesday afternoon.
Biron, a sophomore, was first in the 200 meters in 27.60 seconds. She dominated the high jump, clearing 5-foot-2, eight inches more than the next best height. And when it came to jumping while running, Biron couldn’t be beat, taking first in the 100 hurdles (16.4 seconds) and 300 hurdles (49.80) by significant margins.
Biron’s 40 points pushed Bow’s team total to 98, which put the Falcons in second behind Laconia (116). The Belmont girls took third on their home track with 81 points, Bishop Brady (27) was eighth and Hillsboro-Deering (nine) was ninth.
The Belmont boys claimed five individual wins and two relay wins (4×100 and 4×400) to total up 136.5 points and beat out second-place Inter-Lakes (123). Bishop Brady (69) barely edged out Bow (68.5) for third while Hillsboro-Deering (38) was seventh.
