John and Heather Paul of Surfside Beach, S.C., and formerly of Concord, announce the engagement of their daughter, Hillary Paul, to David Metcalf, son of James and Jill Metcalf of Wayland, Mass.
Paul, of Chelsea, Mass., earned a degree in biomedical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2010 and a master’s degree in science education from Columbia University in 2011. She teaches at Chelsea High School in Chelsea, Mass.
Metcalf, of Chelsea, Mass., earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colby College in 2009 and a master’s degree in accounting from Boston College in 2011. He works as a tax consultant at Deloitte in Boston, Mass.
A November wedding is planned.
