Politics is like a card game. Donald Trump has been a masterful poker player, bluffing and bullying his way to the Republican nomination.
The game has now changed to bridge. Donald has a strong Trump suit but needs the help of his partner, the Republican Party, to make his bid. He is not off to a good start.
If he continues his insults and slights, his fellow Republicans may well pass on his bid to be president. Meanwhile, Hillary holds a strong No Trump hand, including the “woman card.”
If he continues his male bluster and bravado, he may win a few “big hands” but lose the rubber. Here’s hoping.
