Invest in infrastructure

The New Hampshire Senate’s rejection of an amendment to restore $4 million to the state’s transportation plan is extremely shortsighted.

There can be little doubt that such a transportation link, once in place, would virtually transform the business and community connection with greater Boston, to the great benefit of New Hampshire.

Meanwhile, the planning and construction phases would both attract business and residential planning over and above the actual construction of modern commuter rail facilities.

Viewed in a larger sense, there is increasing recognition of the significant national need for infrastructure investment across the land. We should become part of what will be a significant phase of American economic growth and life.
