Boscawen Pilot taxi program

The Mid-State Regional Coordinating Council for Community Transportation launched a pilot taxi voucher program to assist integration of individuals who reside within Merrimack County Department of Corrections. The program is the first of this kind in the region and is a key to independent living for individuals who can successfully complete the corrections department’s Community Release Program. The intent of the program is to provide support so that individuals can successfully complete the program and reintegrate into society. Without transportation, individuals remain disconnected from society, which in effect forces them to stay at the prison. The transportation services will be provided by D&B Taxi & Currier Services and Granite State Independent Living. The service will operate Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If you work for a company and think this is a good idea, tell your boss and call for details at 707-6035.
