The New Hampshire Fisher Cats outhit the Akron RubberDucks by six but lost the only stat that matters, falling by a 3-1 score Saturday afternoon.
The Fisher Cats had eight hits to Akron’s two, but the RubberDucks made their chances count. Down 1-0, Akron scored in the first on a passed ball, in the fifth on a groundout and in the seventh on Ivan Castillo’s inside-the-park homer – the team’s first hit since the opening inning.
New Hampshire scored on Rowdy Tellez’s single in the first.
