Team Evo, which trains at Evo Rock + Fitness Concord, sent five of its members to USA Climbing’s Sports and Speed Climbing Divisonals at Central Rock Randolph last week. The N.H. Senior girls’ basketball team held off Vermont, 70-63, on Saturday afternoon. Lexi Hamilton helped N.H. jump out to an 18-2 lead nine minutes into the game, scoring nine points. Vermont came back, tying the game at 27-27 by halftime. After a back-and-forth second half, a free throw by Adaeza Okorie broke a 60-60 tie and N.H. hung on for the win.
The N.H. boys’ team beat Vermont, 78-75. N.H. trailed by three at the half but erased the deficit seven minutes into the third and held off Vermont the rest of the way. Keith Brown led all scorers with 22 points and nine rebounds, while Bishop Brady’s Joe Bell scored 13 and grabbed six rebounds.
The Concord Cannons 2019 prospects beat the Bobcats, 14-0, and Maine Sluggers, 17-0, in Saturday’s 15U tournament. Franklin’s Harrison Clark threw a five-inning no-hitter against the Bobcats, striking out six. Concord’s Eric Sullivan pitched a two-hitter over five innings with seven strikeouts against Maine. Sullivan also went 3-for-5 with five RBI and six runs scored.
In Concord Little League, the Concord 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars beat Laconia All-Stars, 19-0. Michael Thresher threw a no-hitter, striking out 12. The Concord offense was led by Dawson Fancher and Bodie Coffey.
Dave Pickles chipped in for birdie on the 37th hole to win the Memorial Member-Guest event at Concord Country Club. Pickles, guest of Jon Lorden, finished tied with Ken Smith and Chris Philippy after two days of stroke play. Both teams shot even-par rounds of 72-68 for a 140 total.
Kevin and James Hobbs took the net division with a 17-under-par two-day total of 123 (63-60). Franco LePera and Steve Mulligan were second at 124.
Camps/Clinics/Lessons

UNH field hockey team will hold two summer camps as well as two summer youth clinics. Session I will be held Wednesday-Saturday, followed by Session II from July 6-9 and the youth clinic will be held July 7-8. The Session I and Session II camps both have overnight ($475) and day ($375) options for the four-day camps. The single-day youth clinics on July 7-8 cost $35 per day or $60 for both days.
