Franklin’s Derrick Sylvester, a pitcher in the Los Angeles Dodgers system, recently completed a rehab stint and was assigned to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the team’s Advanced Single-A affiliate.

Sylvester, who was recovering from a stress fracture in his ribs, pitched three scoreless innings in a pair of appearances for the Arizona League Dodgers.

The Southern New Hampshire University product went 1-6 with a 5.72 ERA last season for the Single-A Great Lakes Loons while battling a first occurrence of the rib injury.
