A pregnant woman who suffered serious injuries in a Saturday car crash in Dunbarton was able to safely deliver her child and is expected to be okay, according to WMUR.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Gorham Pond Road and South Stark Highway about 12:50 p.m. Police say a 21-year-old woman from Ashland drove her Honda Civic past a stop sign and into the intersection where she collided with a Cadillac Escalade sending it into a rollover.
The Escalade was driven by Brad Fournier, 33, of Dunbarton, with his pregnant wife, Kaitlin, riding as a passenger, according to WMUR. Kaitlin was sent to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the Civic suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Both cars were totaled, and South Stark Highway was shut down for more than an hour. Dunbarton police and fire were assisted by Goffstown police and fire. Police say several witnesses helped provide medical care while waiting for first responders.
