TRENTON, N.J. – Dwight Smith Jr. singled three times, and Conner Greene threw six scoreless innings as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Trenton Thunder, 5-4, on Friday.

Chris Smith struck out Sebastian Valle with a runner on first to end the game for his 11th save.

Greene (4-4) picked up the win after he struck out six and walked two.

New Hampshire got on the board first with a run in the fourth inning. After hitting a double, Rowdy Tellez scored on a single by Smith.

After New Hampshire added four runs in the seventh, the Thunder cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Billy McKinney hit a grand slam.

Daniel Camarena (8-4) went six innings, allowing one run and seven hits to take the hard-luck loss in the Eastern League game. He also struck out five and walked one.

Despite the loss, Trenton is 11-5 against New Hampshire this season.
