Make it 11 Ryder Cups for Phil Mickelson. And Lefty has some company.
The United States Ryder Cup team announced on its Twitter account that three players had secured spots on the squad for the competition, being held Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
Mickelson will be among them, having secured enough qualifying points to clinch a spot, as will Brooks Koepka and PGA Championship winner Jimmy Walker.
U.S. captain Davis Love III will announce the rest of the eight automatic qualifiers Monday, and will make three captain’s picks Sept. 11 and a final one Sept. 25 to round out the roster.
