Leiter allowed three runs while striking out four and walking two.

In the seventh, Rowdy Tellez hit a solo home run and Emilio Guerrero clocked a three-run shot. Ian Parmley also hit a two-run triple in the ninth inning to cut the Reading lead to 7-6 but that’s as close as it would get.
