A Nashua mother has been convicted of second-degree murder in the death of her 3-year-old daughter in 2014.

The verdict reached by a judge Monday concluded the two-week trial of 27-year-old Katlyn Marin in the death of her daughter, Brielle Gage. Gage died of blunt-force injuries, and prosecutors say Marin assaulted the toddler several times.

Marin opted for a bench trial, meaning a judge, not a jury, determined her guilt. Marin did not take the stand during the trial.
