JV results

The Hopkinton boys’ JV soccer team beat Mount Royal, 2-1. Reece Masters struck first for the Hawks off a goalie deflection. Keeper Alex Miller kept Hopkinton in the game, which ultimately allowed Andrew Beckwith to score the OT winner on an assist by Daniel Miner. Hopkinton improved to 3-1.

The Concord girls’ JV field hockey team defeated Merrimack, 2-1. Despite a man down situation, the team rallied back for the win. The Tide’s goals were scored by Brooke Wheeler and Sam Ossoff.

Freshman results

The Concord freshman boys’ soccer team lost to Londonderry, 3-0.

The Concord freshman girls’ soccer team lost to Londonderry, 6-0. Maddie Dustin, Katy McCoy, Fabi McLeod, and Bella Therrien all played well for the Tide in the loss.

Middle school results

The Rundlett girls’ A Volleyball team was defeated by Hollis-Brookline, 25-6, 25-22. The Dukes offense was led by solid serving from Alexis Flynn, Emma Nakuci and Emma Ferguson.

The Winnisquam field hockey team scored four unanswered goals against Newfound to win, 4-2. Haley Stanley scored three goals for the Bears, while Ali Beaulieu had one.

The Rundlett field hockey A team beat Kearsarge, 6-0. Amy Cohen and Grace Bassi each scored two goals for Rundlett while Alice Rosenberg and Maddi Miles scored one goal each.

The Rundlett field hockey B team defeated Kearsarge, 2-1, securing Rundlett’s second win of the season. Gabby Pimental and Kennedy Ramos each had one goal.

The Merrimack Valley girls’ soccer team defeated Hollis-Brookline 3-0. Rylee Boucher, Kylie Curtin and Rhiley Tanguay scored goals for MV. Emily Koufos and Emma Steenbeke teamed up for the shutout in goal. Kerragan McNeil led the defense, while Kaylee Magoon played solid in midfield.

The Hopkinton girls’ soccer team defeated Epping, 8-4. The Hawks played tight defense, led by Maddy Follansbee, Kally Murdough and Lily Owen, against a strong offensive team. Ashlee Brehio scored a hat trick for the Hawks.

The Weare boys’ soccer team lost, 3-1, to South Meadow yesterday. Jakob Hardy played well in goal with help from Emmet Rinehimer and Austin Hazzard on defense.

The Rundlett boys’ A soccer team tied Woodbury, 3-3. Cameron Detwiller scored on a penalty kick late in the game to secure a tie for RMS.

Unified result

The Concord High School Unified Soccer team lost to Nashua South, 5-4. Nicholas Battles scored a hat trick, Kendall Thompson also scored and Brendan McEwen had three saves in net.

College standouts

Concord’s Jacob Szulc, a freshman wide receiver for the Plymouth State football team, was named MASCAC Rookie of the Week after catching eight passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns in a victory.

Hooksett’s Matt Paradis, who plays out of Concord Country Club, shot 69 Monday to win the Franklin Pierce Invitational individual title for Southern New Hampshire University. Paradis and teammate Josh LaCasse (73), a Bow native, led SNHU to second place as a team.

Golf tournament

The Heating Hot Shots shot 62 to claim the top prize in the Boscawen Old Home Day Golf Classic. Matt Rabideau, Joe DiPietro, Jerry Grote and Paul Ebbs formed the winning team. The Granite Bay Team, captained by Stephanie Alicea, finished second with a 64.
