JV results

The Concord JV girls’ field hockey team defeated Nashua South, 4-0. Erin Doherty scored a pair of goals, while Brooke Wheeler and Amanda Fitcher had one apiece. Ella Doherty and Erin Reed were strong in the midfield and Caitlyn Simms recorded the shutout in net.

The Concord JV boys’ soccer team lost to Merrimack on Tuesday, 3-2. Aiden Donnelly scored both goals in the loss.

The Bow JV girls’ soccer team defeated Portsmouth, 2-0, on Tuesday. Jamie MacEachron (two goals), Brianna Boone (assist) and Lara Chern (assist) led Bow’s offense. Julia Pingree and Annaliese Kaufman played a strong defensive game in front of Grace Jordan, who was strong in goal.

Freshman results

The Concord freshmen boys’ soccer team lost to Merrimack, 9-2. Vos O’Sullivan and Duvan Montenegro scored for Concord, while goalie James Shea played well in the second half.

Middle school results

The Rundlett Middle School A field hockey team defeated Bow, 1-0. Kristin Womack scored the only goal early in the first quarter. Felicity Weldon played well in net and Camille Armaganian played well both offensively and defensively. Alice Rosenberg stood out on offense.

The Rundlett Middle School B field hockey team defeated Bow, 1-0. Gaby Pimentel had the only goal of the game, assisted by Kennedy Ramos. Anna Gregg’s play in goal allowed Rundlett to maintain the lead.

The Hopkinton Middle School field hockey team tied Kearsarge, 0-0. Hadley Rossignol and Caroline Barrett played well on offense, while Bridget Lynch led the defensive effort.

The Franklin Middle School football team defeated Newfound, 34-16. Franklin was led by Jacob Beaupre with 217 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in addition to a passing touchdown and two sacks, while Jon Gilpatrick had two catches for 30 yards and a touchdown and Dom Femia led the offense line and had seven tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on defense.

The Hopkinton Middle School girls’ soccer team defeated previously unbeaten Derryfield, 4-2. Ashlee Brehio had a hat trick, while Annie Higginbotham, Megan Kimball Rhines (goal), Olivia Cressy and Brooke Carlson played well at midfield.

Tilton School results

The Tilton boys’ JV soccer team lost to Stanstead, 2-1. Pablo Rufo-Mingot scored for Tilton, and Max Keef also played well for the Rams.

Fencing results

Concord Fencing Club hosted the first tournament of 2016 for the Northeast division of the U.S. Fencing Association. The club’s Joshua Gagne won silver in the senior mixed sabre event, while James Leland won bronze in the senior mixed epee.

Concord CC golf

Diane Clarner led the field in the low net minus three competition at the Concord Country Club. Her round of 54 was good for a two-stroke victory over runner-up Helen Steenbeke, while Sue Perry and Sally Winship tied for third place with rounds of 57.

Open gym
