The filing period to run for an open seat on the Concord School Board ends Monday at 4:30 p.m.
So far, four candidates, including three incumbents, have filed paperwork to fill the three opens seats. Jim Richards will run to keep the seat that represents Wards 1, 2, 3 and 4. Jennifer Patterson will again run in Wards 5, 6 and 7. The lone contested race, thus far, is to represent Wards 8, 9 and 10 between incumbent Rusty Cofrin and Pamela Wicks.
Each elected member starts a three-year term on Jan. 1. There is a $5 fee to file for the Nov. 8 election.
